Good Looking Size / 150cm* 40cm* 40cm* 3 scenes Long / 1’00”(Silent three-channels image) Material / projection、video、composite painting Time / 2015 Complementary with the Flower Expo activities, the objectives of this project is to facilitate green-up actions by the owner units of the land areas, which are considered as original old buildings without imminent usage plans, by using urban renewal volume incentives as inducement. It attempts to transform these areas pending urban renewal into green areas during 18 months of urban renewal, giving the local residents a chance to enjoy this ephemeral landscape. Several places nearby my residential area are government planned green areas and, due to those high-rise buildings surrounding them, look out of place every time I get passed them. They were supposed to provide residents nearby recreation casual place, but are instead more decorative with planted artificial vegetation and low functionality. In this work, through the movement and intervening of the viewers, blocking the projection screen by unintentionally passing through in front of the projector seems to background-erase the street view of the city in the image. The temporary scene of these island-like green areas that can only survive for 18 months owing to the policies is retained permanently through this work of art. |
